Workshop Overview

This half-day workshop will introduce you to the key principles of living mindfully and introduce core methods to help you cultivate mindfulness in order to live in the moment of NOW. It will demonstrate how the Mindful approach to living can help you to not dwell on the past or worry about the future, and will give you a clear perception of finding greater life balance.

The goal of this workshop is to provide a safe and supportive space for exploring how individuals subconsciously react to stressful situations without even realizing that they are doing so. The practice of Mindfulness helps to cultivate your natural capacity and inner resources to respond consciously to your own stress, pain and illness, as well as the demands of everyday life in order to to improve overall physical and mental health.

Mindful Self-Compassion, another topic covered in this workshop, refers to the emotional skills necessary to enhance one’s sense of well-being and encourages you to examine and enrich the relationship that you have with yourself. The practice of Mindfulness gives you the opportunity to return to a state of empowerment, harmony, and self-encouragement by creating space for wise choices. Through lecture, group exercise, Mindful discussion, and home practice, you will learn the skills that will provide the essential tools to treat yourself with self-acceptance and self-respect, and to show kindness to others.

Mindful Eating is about witnessing or observing sensations, thoughts and emotions that arise while eating. In this workshop, you will observe your relationship with food objectively. Mindful Eating replaces self-criticism and disconnection with self-love through your own attained wisdom.

As you start practicing mindfulness on a regular basis, you are cultivating the awareness that connects you directly to the wisdom of the body, mind and heart. This class focuses on helping you to develop your daily habit of practicing. The longer you practice, the easier it becomes and the more joyful you will become, which is the key stepping stone for Creating A Life That You Love, Mindfully.
